11 Frisco Aquatics Swimmers To Represent North Texas in 2009 Texas All Star Championships

Frisco Aquatic Swimmers will represent North Texas in the 2009 Texas LSC All-Star Championship Meet, November 14-15, in Southlake at the Carroll ISD Aquatics Center.  The Statewide All-Star meet consists of 5 LSC Divisions; Border, West TX, South TX, North TX, and Gulf.  This is the first time since 2005 that the meet has returned to North Texas, following last year’s Championship meet in South TX, where Frisco Aquatics sent 8 swimmers to represent the North Texas division.

This year, 11 Frisco Aquatics Swimmers will represent North Texas.  Destiny Nelson, Mallori Allen, Ramiro Olivares, Chase Garrott, April McDonough, Matt Brigadier, Aaron Lawrence, Ben Lowry, Trent Sandwisch, Alex Marsolek, and Liam Garrott earned their All-Star status by placing in the top 10 on various events in 2009 North Texas Championship Meets.

Events in the Texas All Star Championships include the 50, 100, 200 and 500 Yard Freestyle;  50, 100 and 200 Yard Back Stroke; 50, 100, and 200 Yard Breast Stroke; 50, 100 and 200 Yard Butterfly; and 100 and 200 Yard IM with Freestyle and Individual Medley Relay races also integrated within the meet schedule.

“The All-Star Meet is a good opportunity for our swimmers to compete against the best swimmers in the state and sum up the competition they will swim against at the Texas Age Group (TAGS) Championships in March 2010.  We look forward to an exciting meet and fast times from our swimmers,” says Dan McDonough, head coach for Frisco Aquatics.
